Anyone have suggestions for picking a research project for their doctoral thesis? Feel like I have too many interests haha #EdPsychs

Trainee Educational Psychologist in Ireland. These views are my own personal views.
Hope it's not a bad omen that I've started my TEP journey with a cold and a fever #EdPsychs
Last few days before I start the doctorate course and I don't know what to do with myself. Definitely coming down with something though, great timing. #EdPsychs
And just like that it's suddenly my last few days at work in England before moving back to Ireland to start the Doctorate in Child and Educational Psychology. To say it's a bag of mixed emotions is an understatement. Don't know where the time has gone. #EdPsych
Enjoyed some time on the Yorkshire coast yesterday for some respite from the heat ☀️☀️☀️
What a fabulous day we have had with a lot of our ELSAs at our conference today. We wanted to shine a light on them and the amazing work they do throughout Wakefield and to remind them of how amazing, strong, and skilled they are. Real life everyday heros!! #EdPsychs #ELSAConference2025
We have the amazing @jazampawfarr.bsky.social as our keynote speaker this year, chatting to a lot of our ELSAs about her journey #EdPsych #ELSAConference2025
Lovely way to spend my afternoon listening to the amazing @drlisacherry.bsky.social talk about trauma informed practice #EdPsychs
Still in complete shock, but so happy to share that I will be moving back to Ireland and starting as a Trainee Educational and Child Psychologist in September!!!! #EdPsychs
Sunshine, walking, and good company. I might be working over the Easter holidays, but excited to work at a slower pace over the next two weeks #EdPsychs

Thinking of you today whatever your situation. Have a lovely day and do what you need for you and yours.
Back to the drawing board I guess. Any suggestions on how to evaluate my personal statement or interview is much appreciated #edpsychs

Really looking forward to joining #PositivITEA later today. I feel like I'm in real need of having the space to explore gratitude with @viola-jane.bsky.social. I feel we get so caught up on the interview process and focusing on the failures that we forget the positive side of the process. #EdPsychs
Volunteering for a bereavement charity once a week is a nice weekly reset and reminder of why I do my job. Made a mother quite emotional explaining this theory earlier. Always resonates with me #edpsychs
“There’ll be good days and bad days, and sometimes they’ll be in the same day. That’s just how it is.” Gabrielle Zevin A simple truth - every day won’t be perfect, but that doesn’t mean it’s not worthwhile. 🧡🧡🧡 #kindness (Picture by wonder__doodles)
Really enjoying the spring feel that is in the air today. A nice, wholesome Sunday filled with baking and daffodils ☀️☀️
I normally have a pretty decent level of resilience, but after getting a no from my preferred university for the doctorate I am now questioning staying in this field. I know I can do the job, but there's only so much rejection you can take #edpsychs
So excited to start reading all about relational practice, especially after joining the workshops on Friday! #edpsychs
Excited to finish the week by joining the Relational Practice: Approaches to Mental Health and Well-being in Schools book launch hosted by University of Sheffield and all the amazing workshops being delivered today, plus listening to some of my colleagues speak about their amazing work #edpsychs
Heard back from 2 out of 3 universities so far for the Doctorate. Somehow I manage to forget just how brutal this time of year is for those of us applying for a spot on the course. Something needs to change, I don't know how but something needs to give #edpsychs
Very excited and nervous about the week ahead. It's Day 1 of training our newest ELSA cohort on Tuesday, lots of school work, and anxious waiting to hear back from universities #edpsychs
Had a lovely but sad interaction with a young person today, who sat back in shock after I remembered their favourite hobby that she had told me in our previous session.By showing that I listened to her and shared a real interest in her life completely changed the trajectory of our session. #edpsychs
I love my job, but very ready for some fresh, Irish wind in my face. I know I'll be there 5mins and complain about it, but I love it really #edpsychs
Been given the task of creating a one page profile style sheet about Educational Psychologists and the work we might do with a young person for the local authority I work in. Any #edpsychs have some examples I can use for inspiration?
The one annoying thing about working in schools, you get all the germs the kids are spreading 🤧🤧 it is a working from bed kinda day #edpsychs
Loved spending some time with a Year 3 boy this morning who told me my fear of rollercoasters was silly because the gravitational force would hold me in my seat 😂😂 #edpsychs
