#bookreview no.16: Wise Blood by Flannery O'Connor. Inescapable destiny and religion devolve into absurdity. Some truly hilarious moments in this book, alongside grim ones. O'Connor is quite subtle where a lot of contemporary writers would have hit you over the head with their point.
