Josh in the other room pretending to be laughing at something else as I yell "ZEN!" at our inkjet printer.

Lawyer. I make up songs about my dog and sing them to her. I am going to get on Jeopardy! this year. I'm sure this time, I can feel it. DM for Signal info
My sister changed the default error sound on our first computer (Mac OS) to audio of a quote from Cool Hand Luke: "What we have here is failure to communicate." My mom yelled "what the fuck" the first time she heard it. After a day it became infuriating. My sister never changed it back.
Exactly two creatures in this home enjoyed my soulful rendition of Space Oddity, reworked to be about our labrador. One of them was me. The other? The labrador. 🎶This is ground control to major dog . . . 🎶
There is a special place in hell for men who tell you to speak up and be more direct because they chose to ignore what you plainly and confidently told their ass more than once already. Shit god damn.

FAKE NEWS, BIGFOOT HAS PROPORTIONALLY BIG NATURALS
Sometimes, I like to imagine I am just one of many narcoleptic attorneys who is plotting and executing secret little naps to get through the day. Like, if you searched any courthouse, you'd find half a dozen of us taking tiny covert naps in inconspicuous places.
My sister rejected my idea of calling the new hangout space she created for herself in the garage "Ken Russel's The Lair of the White Woman."
The point of an anti stalking order is for the police to know whose door to knock on first after they find your body.
Sara Gilson was fatally shot less than two weeks after accusing her husband of pedophilia on social media
this reads like an old timey baseball insult
Bob doesn't own that Big Boy where I'm from.
Wendy and I versus the rest of these clowns. And I'm not just talking Ronald McDonald. Look at these chumps. Wendy could clean house without my help.
Things aren't great, let's have some fun
Fix anything lately that you're proud of? YouTube DIY successes count. I inherited a record player with missing parts, and figured out what a "headshell" is. I realized a turntable works like most rotating parts on a car and that mine was missing a "belt." Fixed it. Plays beautifully.
The Patricia-heavy episodes of Widow's Bay are the best TV I have seen in *a while.* I love this character so much.
If your sleep disorders get weird enough, your doctors will start advising you like you are a werewolf who may turn at any moment. Moving furniture, securing objects, anticipating falls . . . alienating loved ones for their own safety and caging yourself in a cellar during full moons, etc.
If you aren't sure if you belong on Bluesky, ask yourself: Have I ever plugged a boombox in outside so I could rollerblade to Tragic Kingdom in my parent's driveway? Welcome, friend.
Can't keep our cat away from Jesse Eisenberg in this movie it is getting weird.
After losing his wife, the man's children adopted a shelter dog to provide him with companionship. Original post
We are on vacation and I dreamt I was at home scritching our cat's chin. I woke up, of course, hand partly raised and "chin scritching" the air. Life with a sleep disorder = no shortage of surprises.
Five years married . . . so hard to believe. You all are too kind ❤️
Why does this feel like the best compliment I have ever received.
Katie respectfully please choke me out with those arms 😍😍 ( not sorry Josh lol)
I've been living in the City too long. I approached this horse like it was a veggie-saurus at Jurassic Park.
I cannot stress enough how big this horse is. It doesn’t fully come through in the picture. Almost 2000 lbs and its haunches were taller than both of us.
My mom: Do you think you trip and fall so often because of your odd body shape? Me: I don't trip and fall that . . . Wait, what? My mom: Your torso. Where you carry your height. I could spot you in a crowd. Me: Where is this... My mom: Most tall women just have long legs, you know. But not you.
My new favorite thing to do to Josh is wait for him to finish a joke, nod, and suggest "I bet there's a bit in there somewhere."
This made me want to cry. I *love* Stephen King. But the sin we are talking about here is sexual assault. And God help us all if there's no one left to throw stones when that is the qualifier.
Fuck Stephen King
Boy. The Politico story on Platner is thorough and I understand why, but I would strongly caution against anyone with SA related trauma reading it. The broad overview: It is very detailed and very credible.
Read the Platner story, and his ex's clarification of what he *didn't* do to her is such a clear hallmark of an abusive relationship, it is heartbreaking. "I never hit you," . . . with a closed fist . . . as hard as I could . . . in a way that required medical attention And so on.
Our front door opened unexpectedly, thanks to drunk neighbors stumbling into the wrong apartment: Dog: (continues snoring in bed) Josh: (typing on phone, chuckling at TV) Me: (on feet and charging toward door, in fake deep cop voice) HEY! HEY! How did I become our front line of security.
Can't do the Alex Jones Infowars voice, but nailed the cadence and I am drunk with power. Josh? Less amused.

Just finished Alito's dissent in the mail-in voting case and... it's so stupid. Even for him. THERE'S NO LEGAL ARGUMENT. It just rests on a fundamental misunderstanding of the word "choice." It's not surprising that the man who overturned Roe doesn't understand what the word choice means, but Jesus.
Today’s decision in Slaughter will destroy the independence of the Merit Systems Protection Board, which will have a cascading effect on all federal employees, who have been free from political interference for 150 years. The spoils system is back, baby!
