One of the most fulfilling parts of my job as a consultant is being able to facilitate conversations and shared work where I can step back and watch teachers who trust each other enough to wonder and think together. This Fayetteville AR group did just that this week and it was magical. #EduSky

Whether you are almost done with the school year or just finished, I think it's really important to take time and consider whether the way your grading policy impacted your classroom and particularly the learning within it. (Even better: if you can, ask students about choices you made!)

"Hey everyone, we're just going to pause for a second—one to five, how is everyone doing?" 1️⃣ ask them how they're doing 2️⃣ if you want, count the #'s (how many 5's, 4's, etc.) 3️⃣ have them share with a partner Best 5 minutes you can spend in a classroom. (Especially right now.)

Mid-career shift for me as a teacher: realizing that how I return feedback to students is way more important than what the feedback actually is In other words, no matter how much time/effort I spend on the feedback itself, it doesn't matter if I'm not intentional about how students receive it
