I have jet lag and a cold, finally fell asleep around 2:00 PM and the fire alarm in my hotel went off at 4:40 and is still going off 25 minutes later. Thankfully there’s no fire, reportedly it’s due to a faulty wire in the next door building but I just want to get some sleep. And it’s chilly out.

Deciding to move ended up being unintentionally brilliant antidote to election anxiety. Yes, I’ve simply replaced it with moving stress, but at least the stakes are lower.
