My cousin Faye arrived at my home yesterday by canoe on their 21-day adventure paddling from the St Clair River to Crystal Beach. En route, they spotted a Lake Erie water snake! I remember seeing so many in my youth and sadly thought they were extinct. But Nerodia sipedon insularum is recovering!😍
