It's going to take a lot of work to re-orient our economy now that the United States is not the reliable trading partner we used to depend on. We have to connect with each other, and with trading partners around the world.

As @mark-carney.bsky.social says, we can give ourselves more than any foreign government can take away -- if we work hard together to build One Canadian Economy together. That will create more good jobs, and funds the the social safety net we rely on. That work is more important than ever

A very strong Speech from the Throne, presented by the King himself. Canada's sovereignty, and our distinct constitutional heritage, were on full display today. It was an honour, on behalf of the residents of Taiaiako'n—Parkdale—High Park, to witness this historic event.
