In three weeks, I'll be speaking at RubyConf Africa about my experiences building a Hotwire Native app for Calendar Vision. I'm really looking forward to meeting the African Ruby community and visiting Africa for the first time.

Last Tuesday, Neha presented her talk "Powerful Data: Making Rails Apps Faster with Aggregation" at @phillyrb.org. We meet every third Tuesday at @indyhall.org. We've been getting 15-20 people the last couple events and we'd love for even more people to join us!

I actually took @pragdave.bsky.social approach when building Authentication Hell for my @RubyConf talk. DragonRuby doesn’t prescribe a file structure so I just started with main.rb and everything in that file.

Claude Design does a pretty good job with app store screenshots. Five images for both iOS and Android translated into five different languages. It was able to get the dimensions and file size right with a little prompting.

I recently redid the home page for Calendar Vision. The original one had some AI generated placeholders that I wanted to eventually replace. I think the new one does a better job of providing examples showing how you can use Calendar Vision. I'd love feedback if anyone has it.

This is a cool feature in @conductor_build. Submit a feature idea prompt and they might run it and include it. I'd love an easy way to setup a new project for use with Conductor. I already prompt Conductor to configure Conductor. I want a button that prompts Conductor for me.

A friend told me that IBM does video interviews with an AI voice that asks you behavioral questions. I guess I shouldn't be surprised but that feels so dystopian.

Claude asking me this is so annoying. It's obvious it should be fixed but I easily miss it when queueing additional prompts.
