10/ And it’s coming for your state. Congress delayed most of the changes until AFTER the midterms, because they know what this looks like. In November, federal money to run SNAP gets cut in half. More layoffs. More red tape. More Dees. More Alejandras. Nationwide.
9/ Why did Republicans do this? To pay for Trump’s tax cuts for the wealthy. That’s the whole story. They took food out of a working mom’s baby’s mouth and a grandma’s grandsons’ plates so billionaires could get a bigger check. Call it what it is: cruelty as policy.
8/ Arizona cut a third of its caseworkers the same year it tripled the paperwork. It now demands panhandlers produce written documentation of coins dropped in their jars. Even the caseworkers roll their eyes and call it absurd. That IS the point. Make it impossible. Blame the poor.
7/ Here’s the trap: the new law fines states up to a BILLION dollars if they make too many “errors” paying benefits. But denying an eligible person doesn’t count as an error. Only paying one does. So states quit paying. It’s cheaper to starve a grandma than to help her.
6/ 450,000 Arizonans have been kicked off SNAP since Trump’s “Big Beautiful Bill.” Over 100,000 are children. The rolls were cut in HALF. Most of these people are still eligible. They just can’t survive the maze the state built to keep them out.
5/ She’s called the appeals office once a day for 5 months. Never reached a human. Every morning she asks: Do the kids have enough carrots? Enough tomatoes? Is there milk left? “I think it’s inhumane to take food from people. What are we doing here?”
4/ Dee had been on SNAP for 15 years. Same address. Same income. Last October she filed her renewal and accidentally attached a 2024 income form instead of 2025. One honest mistake. Case closed. No letter. No warning. No 30-day fix window. Nothing.
1/ A 28-year-old working mom in Arizona got a letter demanding she complete her food stamps interview by Feb 28. The letter was dated March 30. She asked caseworker: “Do I look like I can create a time machine?” This isn’t a glitch. This is the plan. 🧵 #DV1 #ProudBlue #Voices4Victory #USDemocracy
61 years after the Voting Rights Act became law, Texans are still fighting to be counted at the ballot box. Yesterday, the voice of the people was so loud that the Tarrant County Commissioners Court had no choice but to table their attempt to cut polling locations before the midterm election.
El-Sayed: I think that's clearly what's gone wrong with Fetterman. It's clear he probably doesn't spend much time in Pennsylvania. He was campaigning with Bernie Sanders and now wants to renounce him. I'm hoping to get to the U.S. Senate. Maybe we can hash that conversation out in person.
Come see the original screen-used model of the U.S.S. Enterprise at the Roddenberry Archive room at #STLV. Lost for several decades, it was recently recovered and restored, ready to be shared with Star Trek fans all over the world.
El-Sayed: "I believe our kids have a right to our tax dollars. I'm about 10 min away from schools that look like they did 50 years ago. Our money should be spent here rather than sent in the form of bombs or tanks to foreign govts, particularly when they are doing most heinous things with them ... "
Many people in the bar are saying the near miss happened because the helicopter exceeded the FAA’s all-you-can-eat weight limit. www.npr.org/2026/08/05/g...
The president wants to let people pay for early access to his social media posts. This would give wealthy people and corporations access to market-moving information before anyone else. It’s another case of corruption for this administration.
We proved it in Wisconsin. We proved it in New York City. We proved it in dozens of special elections over the past year. People power over money!
Abdul El-Sayed was outspent 9-to-1 by AIPAC and corporate Super PACs in the most expensive Senate Democratic primary of all time. Last night, he proved that organized people can beat organized money.
It really seems that his objective is to destroy our country.
Dozens of gas-burning power plants are being built across the country, solely to power data centers. These plants could emit as much planet-warming pollution as half of all passenger vehicles in the entire country in a single YEAR. We need a data center moratorium — now.

CEOs are raking in $17 million a year, 300 times what their own workers make, and John Husted’s answer is “learn to budget.” Sherrod Brown wrote the law that got over 100,000 Ohioans their stolen pensions back. Vote for who fights for you, not who lectures you. #BlueWaveIn90Days
Despite being shown boxes of evidence by his own appointee, Trump would rather punish innocent American citizens to cover his mistakes. The man is a monster and everyone that supports him should be voted out of office Sometimes it’s that simple.
This would amount to a complete capitulation from the US. Literally no way to even attempt to spin this as a win.
