Retired, Generation Jones. Avid user of shitty film and digital cameras. Remember, a Gameboy is for life, not just the 1990s. 'Let me close my eyes and sense the beauty around me. And take that breath under the dark sky full of stars.' Mira Furlan

What better device to take to a tropical island paradise full of palm trees, sand and exotic wildlife than the Gameboy? (And I get the added pleasure of not really knowing if my experiments worked until we get back.)

A red Gameboy on a tripod with a green Gameboy Camera cartridge fitted. In the background, the view is revealed of two orange canopied boats in a small harbour surrounded by palm trees.

I'd completely forgotten that I have a lovely little Kodak Bantam. The aperture and shutter speeds look great, but it needs a good clean, and the bellows definitely need a liberal application of liquid electrical tape.

A view inside the bellows of a Kodak Bantam folding camera. The white marks are pinholes (some more like knitting needles) in the bellows. These holes go all around. Mind you, it would be great for light leaks.

Currently tidying up and making a record of the cameras in the display cabinet. I think this is my favourite shelf on the digital camera side so far (on the analogue side it's going to be the Rapid camera shelf, I know it).

Part of a column from a spreadsheet of a list of cameras. Most of these are Nikon's early 2000s swivel head cameras:

Konica Minolta Dimage Z10
Nikon Coolpix 990
Nikon Coolpix 950
Olympus Pen E-P1
Olympus Pen E-PL1
Nikon Coolpix 4500
Nikon Coolpix 900
Canon Powershot G12
Nikon Coolpix 4500
Generic sport action camera
Yi action camera
Nikon Coolpix S4

(The action cameras were in the same case. I've circuit bent one and I'm not sure what to do with these.)

Back from holiday, with just a roll of expired Fuji Superia through the Pixie and a few images from the I-10 to show for it. Frugal Shitty Camera Challenge pickings indeed. However, rummaging through some powerbanks on my return I did find the Canon Powershot G9X that I lost some two years ago.

Tom Savini is a fucking legend. And he lost everything. His home. His beloved pets. His life's work - work that served as the foundation of the horror we hold most dear. There isn't the character count to list his legacy here. If you can, please consider donating. www.gofundme.com/f/support-to...
