Love how in the last episode of Beef s2 (Netflix) a character in Seoul shouts out of a car to a woman on the street named Hae-mi to distract attention - a clear reference to the woman who goes missing in Lee Chang-dong’s Burning.

The take-over of Bath City FC has been approved. As a friend said, he has supported this team for 60 years and this is the most exciting development in all those years. At the very least, our future is assured but more is now within our grasp.

John Crowley has died, a much-loved friend & perhaps the most brilliant writer of our time. I recall the sense of immanence I felt upon reading Aegypt nearly 40 years ago, doors opening endlessly in front of me. We are blessed to have lived in his world & to have his work now that's he's left it.
