That was an incorrect continuity announcement. In fact, I wrote this past week and omnibus. Thank you for all your comments! My next week on air is 20 to 25 December. #TheArchers

Jazzer does reference the fittings when he says he can fit the new gate #TheArchers
Nynzi@nynzi.bsky.social · 2w agoTBH, I don’t quite get how the accident happened that only the gate worth £95 was damaged? Brad backed into - surely the wall or posts holding it would have also been damaged? #TheArchers
Blimey. I thought my second son was big at 11 lbs 3 ozs! #TheArchers
Nick@checkyoursheds.bsky.social · 2w agoI, myself, have heard repeatedly that I weighed over 12 pounds at birth. #TheArchers
I’m not sure why you would think I would write Bobo if that wasn’t what she was known as. I can assure you that (no matter how ridiculous) that is what it was. #TheArchers
Jane's Kintbury@walbury2024.bsky.social · 2w agoI seem to remember she had a rather silly name ( apologies to anyone called BoBo ) but I'm not sure that was it. Anyone?? #thearchers
I did. I had a lot of research help, plus the memories of being at the births of my three sons. #TheArchers
ManxFreeState@manxfreestate.bsky.social · 2w agoDid Kerri script this all by himself? #TheArchers
Kids getting off the school bus - that’s why Keira was there #TheArchers
Brenda Selwyn@brendaselwyn.bsky.social · 2w agoWhat was going on outside the village shop during the first scene? Did it sound to anyone else as though there was a small crowd in attendance? Surprised Brad didn't ask one of them to drive... #TheArchers
Yes, I named Slavko soon after Tony was persuaded that he needed to become Bridge Farms relief milker, not the main one. #TheArchers
Brenda Selwyn@brendaselwyn.bsky.social · 2w agoMilking the cows, not working in the dairy. It was mentioned ages ago that they'd hired someone, but I'm not sure we've heard his name before. #TheArchers
I think you’re thinking of Borchester, which is only 6 miles away and bikeable. But Ambridge to Felpersham is 17 miles #TheArchers
Five Jabs Janet@janet9998.bsky.social · 2w agoI realise the by-pass is dangerous, and I care deeply that Brad should live long, and well, and fulfil his potential, but does no-one in Ambridge have a pedal cycle (even an electric bike, cheaper than car + insurance + fuel + test fees)? #TheArchers
Don’t do that 😊 If anything it’s a rather archaic phrase. I just liked it in this context #TheArchers
Nynzi@nynzi.bsky.social · 2w agoWell, that’s a new one on me. ‘Well-knit’? 🤔 Must ask the youngsters I know. 😉
It’s a sort of valve thingy* that mimics the sucking action of a calf. (*technical term) #TheArchers
Brenda Selwyn@brendaselwyn.bsky.social · 3w agoFor those of us not involved in the dairy industry, what is a pulsator, ropey or otherwise? #TheArchers
I’ve had a bit of a gap writing #TheArchers - my next scripts go out in September, so I don’t know. But personally, I shall be in northern Spain* that day, right on the line of totality. (*assuming it’s not on fire)
Chris Worthing@chrisworthing.bsky.social · 3mo agoIn Worthing, it'll be 7:14pm on 12th August. I wonder if #TheArchers will observe the partial eclipse from Lakey Hill @keridavies.bsky.social 😉
Love it or hate it, you can’t ignore it. A true honour to have been asked to direct this tour. Tickets available… and it’s great fun. We opened in Manchester, then Stoke-on-Trent and, tonight, Nottingham…
What a loss. He was in three of my favourite programmes: Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Bleak Expectations - and of course #TheArchers , as Robin Fairbrother. Wonderful actor and true gent.
Just watched an old episode of the Fry and Laurie Jeeves and Wooster series. Double delight to discover Mary Wimbush playing Aunt Agatha and Jack May as a country parson. I of course knew and worked with them on #TheArchers - as Julia Pargetter and Nelson Gabriel.
#TheArchers doesn’t encourage any sort of behaviour. It simply portrays the actions of a group of fictional characters. Our listeners are mature and intelligent. They respond to storylines as they see fit - indeed, just as you have done.

Do you think #TheArchers should be encouraging people to buy caged birds as pets? It’s a ridiculous story. Robert and Lynda should have taken it back immediately and given Khalil a proper lesson.
It’s not really a big enough national event to merit a topical insert. I expect #TheArchers will reflect the change over time.
Rrosietay.bsky.social@rosietay.bsky.social · 6mo ago
@keridavies.bsky.social today bird flu restrictions are lifted! Will we get a topical inset on The Archers?
