Here because I love it here but I also don’t want to be at the same time. Still very conflicting. ❤️🩹
Didn’t really feel like live posting the game tonight like I always do but I’ll take a win after a terrible couple of days, especially against Grayson. #WinColumn #Birdland
One thing I took away from Elias’s booth appearance was that there was not even a “smugness” in his voice, but a “shakiness” that oozed of fake performative emotion. He’s a narcissistic prick that totally discredited the fans in his opening statement. I knew I would be annoyed but I HATE that man.
I also do not feel sorry for Grayson. He gave up on his team last season. Glad he’s no longer our problem.
You know how sometimes there’s a player you just hate and you can’t really put into words exactly WHY you hate them? Grayson Rodriguez is one of those guys for me. So I hope we score 7 runs on him.
The fanbase has been broken and is continued to be alienated by the front office and now the clubhouse morale is being destroyed when this team is only 2.5 games out of the Wildcard. I’ll never forgive Mike Elias for this. All he does is break hearts for “top prospects” that he can’t ever develop.
Adley Rutschman, Gunnar Henderson, Ryan Mountcastle and Colton Cowser were going to see "Spider-Man: Brand New Day" when Rutschman got the call that he was being traded, per @jcalvinmeyer Cowser said "It was pretty emotional."
I crashed out hard yesterday. It still hurts. I hate Mike Elias with every ounce of my being. But when I say I don’t want to support the org while he’s still here, it kills me bc I do have guys I love on the team I do genuinely love & still want to support and people at the ballpark I care about.
But that narcissistic prick was “too tired” (cowardly) to address the team yesterday while they went thru one of their best friends, a leader in the clubhouse being traded, & their dickhead manager was tossing a football at Ravens training camp. I’m just beside myself. Mike Elias is absolute scum.
Awww did the poor wittle President of Baseball Operations get a good night’s rest after being sooo tired?
Mike Elias spoke to team earlier. Told them he believes they can make playoffs. Roster wasn’t gutted. Tough decisions have to be made. Etc #orioles
I can’t wait until karma gets Mike Elias. I’ll fucking celebrate too.
I’m still going to need time to recover after yesterday. Mike Elias traumatized me even when I knew he was going to break this fanbase and I’m not sure I’ll get past it.
Mike Elias said in quotes that he’s too tired to address the team formally. He. Is. A. Bad. Person.
He doesn’t deserve to have a future with this organization moving forward and I’m not sure I’ll be back until he’s gone.
Mike Elias maintains that the Orioles have very good players, a strong farm system, and "a lot of things going for us." Elias noted this season and last has been disappointing, but said: "The future is strong, and I think it starts right now."
He shipped out all of the remaining Duquette players on the winning 2023-2024 teams for his “talent” and how did that work out for us? So we are supposed to trust this new talent will be developed and work out under this same front office? This is a fireable offense.
Mike Elias said the Orioles "have a lot more talent in our organization" based on the moves made today, such as trading away Adley Rutschman. "I really believe this was the right move ... with the goal of sustaining a high-caliber level of play over many seasons."
I honestly don’t give a fuck what he has to say. He can go fuck himself.
Mike Elias, in an opening statement, thanks Adley Rutschman. "It is an incredibly emotional moment to have Adley depart the organization this way." Elias said Rutschman embraced the challenge of being the first pick in 2019. "This is an unfortunate reality of the business."
KNOCK HIS ASS OUT AND THEN DO IT AGAIN AND AGAIN 🥊
Mike Elias stood aside Adley Rutschman after the 2019 draft, marking him as the start of a bright future. Now, Elias has sold his All-Star, acknowledging yet another failed roster. Why should the Orioles keep trusting this guy to fix his own mistakes? www.thebanner.com/sports/oriol...
Mike Elias helping another division rival get better. This almost feels intentional.
I know this game is a business. I’m not ignorant to that. It’s just this organization continues to gaslight us and make false promises while expecting us to still show up and spend our money. We need more. We deserve more.
I was there that night too and we splurged and upgraded buying seats behind the plate and it’s still imprinted in my brain. I’m inconsolable. 😢💔
Seeing him debut was one of the best moments of my young sportswriting career. The way he stopped and looked around Camden Yards, taking it all in, was iconic. My first season on the beat was his first season in the majors. Loved following his path
I wish the absolute worst on Mike Elias. Karma will get that man.
