Good lord. What a piece of shit. Yes, I can well believe she offered to cook you dinner six days later, or even the day after. She was doubtless scared to cross you in any way at all, and probably scared for her children too.
Rep. Max Miller: "My former wife has claimed that during a custody exchange at my home that day, I assaulted her…If I had assaulted her, would she have offered to cook me dinner six days later?"
Your regular reminder that you can't appease a bully. You show them your belly, they'll just bully you even more. Seriously, @amnestyuk.bsky.social, on behalf of all of us, stand up to this spoiled, schoolyard beehutch, will you? Give her the bloody nose she deserves. You're letting everyone down.
This is why you dont try to compromise or concede anything to these horrors
airbnb I’m staying at unintentionally created the toughest punk album cover of 2027
Yeah this is essentially north west Morocco we are talking about. The media would have you thinking it’s Gibraltar or something.
RefUK, RW media, & Eurofash are plainly trying to whip up a panic about this. Any serious report must begin by explaining that Ceuta is in Africa - not mainland Spain - and 48k+ of the 50k crossers were already returned. It is frightening how many still don't know this. Please share on all socials.
Reminded that I wrote about Kim Stanley Robinson's New York 2140 a while back so reread my review and think it holds up ok. almostwisdomreviews.wordpress.com/2023/05/06/n...
New York 2140 – Kim Stanley Robinson
Kim Stanley Robinson’s fascinating and provocative 18th novel New York 2140 is set several decades after two major climate events have raised sea levels hugely. Coastal cities are therefore l…

A portal to a portal. I saw these two six foot tree stumps and thought aha a gateway then saw the wooden hoop. Do two portals cancel out?
Just so I'm clear, if you phone up Rowling's helpline, you are at risk of having your phone call tweeted out to her 14 million odd followers for a ridicule party?
This is the context of JK Rowling putting a survivor of rape or sexual assault on blast for having the gall to seek help
What would happen if more parents complained about the cancellation than about the visit?
Homophobic and transphobic parents are restricting what everyone’s children can hear about.
Popular culture portrays a howling mob with pitchforks at the gates, but really they're a minority armed with lawsuits and bullying threats.
Amnesty International put out a major report documenting the influence of UK based anti trans gender critical organizations and their funding. Within hours, GC groups threatened defamation lawsuits and Amnesty was forced to pull it down. Proving the point they're anti rights. Anyways, here it is.

Second time seeing the force of nature that is Moonchild Sanelly. First was @loudinlibraries.bsky.social Kendal.
I'd enjoyed The Big Moon on the radio without quite being grabbed by them, but live they really impressed me.
Friday in York the wonderful Self Esteem put on an amazing show. Full of emotion, energy, brilliant choreography and communal spirit. ❤️🩵💜
Imagine how many goals Haaland could score if he made a bit more effort.
Not the use of the word "detained" here to make it appear as though the settlers have some legal capacity to be doing this. If i ran up on a US Rep with a rifle and prevented them from leaving it would be, correctly, described as kidnapping; and doing so with political ends would be terrorism.

RIP Wally Funk. In her youth, she was an accomplished pilot and part of a group of women tested for space flight but never allowed to become an astronaut. Six decades later, she finally made it into space at age 82. www.nytimes.com/2026/07/09/s...

Reissued books don't get reviews in places like @locusmag.bsky.social @strangehorizons.bsky.social or @ancillaryreviewofbooks.org etc often, most attention goes on the new. Unfortunately that means that it doesn't take much for a writer to be forgotten especially a woman or writer of colour. 1/2

Maybe this hasn’t sunk in for anyone who should care but the NHS was birthed when the UK *literally had negative money*. The USA had razed us of every penny to pay for weapons to defend ourselves against Germany, Germany had bombed all our industrial sites. We still did it in 6 months. 6.
The NHS was founded 78 years ago today. It was built after the devastation of the Second World War when the country was bankrupt - but when the people demanded a society built on fairness and dignity for all. Today, we must defend the right to healthcare and rebuild our social security system.
It's amazing how conservatives think "protecting girls" involves forcing them to show their genitals to a stranger.
We’re currently fighting an initiative in Washington State that has genital exams as part of the enforcement mechanism. www.kuow.org/stories/tran...
if your 'defence' of women involves invasive and scientifically unfounded testing to determine who qualifies, you're not defending women, you're defending the patriarchy
