REMEMBER The guidance coming into effect today doesn't dictate what you're allowed to do as an individual. It for service providers and business owners. Do not cower in fear, do not reduce yourself, do not isolate, that is one of the intended effects.

Photo taken at a protest, he background is tall old buildings of a city centre, a lightskined hand is holding a sign with a trans flag painted on it that says "fuck your "respect and clarity""

This website is just miserable, I make one simple post explaining the fact that Bombadil did not actually have big naturals and my timeline is swamped with ten thousand bad faith replies. Furthermore,

If we could ask a quick favour of any Yarn Spinner user, it would be for those who have purchased YS+ to leave a review. Less than 1% of purchases have left a review. Y'all game devs know how much reviews make a difference, and tools are no different. Help us stand out among AI-coded slop 🙏

A screenshot of the Yarn Spinner Plus page on the Unity asset store has had a large red circle and arrow drawn on it to draw attention to the fact that the five-star rating is from just 9 customer reviews.A screenshot of the Yarn Spinner Plus page on Itch dot IO has had a large red circle and arrow drawn on it to draw attention to the fact that the five-star rating is from just 10 customer reviews.

mostly my memories of ‘ron liddle’ are of stewart lee in an extended fugue talking about rons gravy-soaked shirt and his intense, gross, poppadom-eating technique. and that’s all I care to remember

We were watching that silly new Tom Hiddleston reenactment of the disaster of Pompeii and he was like ‘we have amazing new tech that allows us to track people through this disaster’ and I was oh no he’s going to say it’s an AI brain or something and then he said…. ‘Its a spreadsheet’ and I CHEERED

one of the coolest things about the internet is that you can tell a writer/artist/etc that you like their stuff, and they'll probably see it

like the feature everyone is selling for their software right now is "new feature: you wont have to use our fucking horrible software as much, you can rent us a robot from us" which like surely this is a sign on some level that there is a design problem in the software ?? that you are renting me ?

"contribute data so we can offer more AI stuff" the dream they are selling here, to generate and manage tickets more "efficiently" to get better uh business outcomes or whatever, is a dream that can be solved by just not having worst-in-class UI -- AI does not need to come into this??

I try not to screenshot content from other platforms on here, but this resonated so much with me it was perfectly expressed. I often share private details of my life but sometimes I don't, and people will try to coax these details out of me and if I refuse, they use it as gotcha.

I'm happy to let the internet think nothing bad has ever happened to me because I like my privacy, and it's been good for me to experience being liked and listened to without having to offer up intimate parts of myself.

The trade-off is that when someone disagrees with a perspective I've expressed, they'll often assume that I can't have experienced the things that we're talking about, pressuring me to disclose things I don't want to in order to legitimize my perspective. I hate this paradigm.

not that I don’t appreciate oasis and the nostalgic resurgence of britpop but their influence as a band is something I can’t detach from the massive amount of misogyny I experienced as a girl in the UK at the time, their fans really dug deep into total wanker behavior
