In dark times, how about a fun dark twisted tale? SEND HELP is coming to help your vibes on Jan 30. There is simply not enough excitement on this app for Sam Raimi's first R rated movie in over 25 years. Maybe two new posters will help??

Rachel McAdams holding a knife. Dylan O'Brien trapped in a nightmare. The words SEND HELP scratched into the sand on a deserted beach... but based on the marks, whoever wrote it must have been dragged away.

Great thread. The article discussed pinged for me too in its bluntness and Caspar is spot on as to why it, and the issues it discusses, are significant to all moviegoers.

I read this article yesterday in @indiewire.com.web.brid.gy about the cinematographer on GLADIATOR II rubbishing Ridley Scott, and it is fascinating I think, on Scott's working methods and how those results in a flat, uninspiring look www.indiewire.com/news/general...

There are currently only 22 films streaming on Netflix made before 1980 and not a single one made before 1960, with the oldest film on the platform currently being PSYCHO. I know I’m a broken record but: buy physical media, support your local library, etc etc

My book on Hammer Films’ unmade projects is out in paperback imminently so I’m bumping the lovely endorsement from Matthew Holness! Can grab a copy of the book here: edinburghuniversitypress.com/book-hammer-... #filmsky

Exciting to see the endorsements for ‘Hammer Goes to Hell’ come in. So chuffed @mrholness.bsky.social agreed to give it a read. And that he was nice about it too!

Co-organised a conference for the 40th anniversary of A Nightmare on Elm Street and it was a blast. Exhibits, screenings. special guests and amazing papers throughout the weekend. A lovely weekend!

Still blows my mind that not only can I pick up an alternate cut of Halloween 6 off my shelf to watch whenever, but that it’s lovely restored in 4K. What a time to be alive.
