Animism shapes my perception of the world around me. Society often tries to convince us that we're above nature, that humanity is the top of the pyramid and everything else exists in a hierarchy beneath us, but I disagree with that notion. Everything contains... #FolkWitchFriday

In folk practice, the world is alive with voice and presence. It’s lived through daily relationships / manners - speaking to the yard, greeting the water, or asking before cutting. How does animism guide your daily footsteps? #FolkWitchFriday #WitchSky

While some practitioners seek "ego death" because they believe the ego to be "bad" or "evil," that view isn't universal. Personally, I see the ego as a neutral phenomenon, but I still seek ego death because returning to Nothing is the first step to becoming Anything and Everything.

Mat Auryn's Psychic Witch because it's written in a way that's accessible to beginners without watering anything down. It also strikes a great balance between introducing the theories/philosophy behind magick and offering exercises that beginners can incorporate into their practice.

#Witchsky What is the #1 book you would recommend to a beginner in the Craft? and why? There are many #witch paths, so if it's tailored to a specific path, why did this particular book mean so much? Please feel free to respond with a repost! #occultsky #druidsky

Getting to know Dave was truly a blessing. His wisdom, his compassion, his humbleness, his humor, and his awe for existence will all be truly missed. His insights helped shape my own spirituality, and for that I will always be grateful. #OccultSky #WitchSky

The Eternal Void, but with Jazz@seranasvoid.bsky.social · 5d ago

We dedicate this episode to our dear friend and podcast guest, Dr. David L. Collins (@bodhidave.bsky.social), who sadly passed away on August 22, 2026. We also want to extend our love and our deepest condolences to his family, friends, and loved ones during this time of grief.

Witch Tip: Unless you're reading about elementary topics in simplistic language, reading is not a passive process. Have confidence that you can understand the text, even if it takes multiple passes to get it all. It's worth the effort; challenges like these help us grow as practitioners. #OccultSky

I think most spiritual disagreements in the occult community boil down to a Tower of Babel situation: We use conflicting language to express the same ideas. If I said "Intention is everything in magick," I'd get quite a few grumbles of dissent. But what if I said "Will is everything in magick?"

Society's like “have a career, get married, have kids," but my shadow self is like "have an occult library, get a reputation as a powerful sorceress the townsfolk avoid, have an army of giant fire-breathing serpents do your bidding."

Witch Tip: We are at our most vulnerable when we sleep, so incorporating some form of spiritual protection into your sleep hygiene routine can give you that extra peace of mind before you go to bed at night. Even something as simple as cleansing and refreshing your shields can help! #OccultSky

Internet arguing rarely solves anything. If you disagree with your candidate on something, tell them about it - approach their team. And elect local/state candidates that will help push that message up to the federal candidates. Can you imagine the good we could do if we took this energy offline?

Witch Tip: Enjoy the ride. It's so easy to fall into the mindset of "If I'm not progressing fast enough, I'm failing," but there is so much to appreciate at every stage of the spiritual journey. Every step, no matter how small, is sacred. When you stop to savor every moment, nothing goes to waste.

"Imaginary evil is romantic and varied; real evil is gloomy, monotonous, barren, boring. Imaginary good is boring; real good is always new, marvelous, intoxicating." ~ Simone Weil, Gravity and Grace
