Listening to discussions between eldritch beings in the last season of Malevolent (horror fiction podcast) feels like eavesdropping on a meeting of billionaires removed from basic humanity
Very curious about GMless games. Wondering how does one play with tension, something essential to horror, for example.

Jim Henson didn’t muppeteer a tiny green frog that was singing and playing the banjo, with rubber gloves while totally submerged underwater in a airtight aluminum tank just so you could tell me that AI is “inevitable”.
The Wachowski sisters didn't use 120 cameras to film one shot just so you could tell me that AI is "inevitable."
Reading a novel set in the late 1800s and a character casually mentions "French cocaine wine" which 1. I thought they made up and 2. Finding out it was real sent me down a rabbit hole that lasted half the day. The POPE endorsing French cocaine wine literally *mind blown*

JKR explicitly said she considers anything Potter-related, even fan-made, endorsement of her politics. And every time you engage with this franchise, you signal to the industry that there's still money in it and they should keep pumping out content from full-cast audiobooks to book box partnerships.
Opted out, of course. Mind you, this wouldn't stop someone committed to making "AI" bullshit with my image (either of me or the ones I've taken), but it really is the principle of the thing.
