Iirc, the Harvey estate owns Black Cat and Sad Sack and a few other characters. Alan Harvey is the person in charge. Several Silver Age heroes are owned by Joe Simon The other titles were sold to Classic Media which through a series of deals is with DreamWorks Animation.

Watched DS9 "Captive Pursuits". While nominally a riff on "The Most Dangerous Game" which has been filmed and based on a lot over the years, the fun in this is the character bits. O'Brien and Tosk, Quark and O'Brien, Odo at the promenade and his 'slow pursuit'. A lot of fun. #StarTrek #DeepSpace9
Honestly the stuff as shown in the video is fine. You can't enter every house, so following npcs is pointless - an illusion to support the game play. I like day/night cycle stuff (clubs open at night, stores open in day) that support the illusion. But otherwise...

Build "lives" for the supporting cast and a few random NPCs involved in side quests to give the game some longevity after the main story is completed. That's it. That's all I need.

Jake Schreier, director of Thunderbolts* is currently the director. As i understsnd it, he is working with Lee Sung Jin and Joanna Calo on a new script. They both worked with him on the Thunderbolts* script. Both also have done a lot of writing/producing for cable/streaming.

I bought it not at start (I subscribed to Starman and Primal Force out of Zero Hour) but picked it up after they revamped it some (maybe after they announced the Book of Fate relaunch). My general thought was it was a good, fun 90s comic but a poor fit for the legacy of Dr. Fate.

After watching through TOS, TAS, TNG, LD, and up to date on SNW, I'm embarking on DS9. When the series first aired in syndication, the station aired it local to me never aired it a consistent time, so a lot of it I've never seen. Enjoyed Emissary as an opening episode. So far, so good. #StarTrek
The first time I ever heard about A SONG OF ICE AND FIRE", the guy raving about it could only articulate that what he liked, and by inference what everyone he was talking to should like, was that it was gritty and violent and some guy and his sister were in an incetuous relationship.
Andrew Male@andrewmale.bsky.social · 2mo agoOpening up a judgement free zone but what's the smallest thing that discouraged you from entering into a vast cultural landscape that others have found vastly rewarding. Mine was discovering that the hero/protagonist of Neal Stephenson's Snow Crash was called Hiro Protagonist.
Saw #Supergirl and enjoyed it pretty well. Good character arcs for the two lead characters and some of the set pieces had interesting takes on fighting with superpowers that made me take notice. Villain was hissable so the final confrontation was welcome. Lobo is fun in a support role.
Absolutely wild story here... ...but why do I feel called out by this Mighty Crusaders line? 😅 "...it’s one of those long-lost to most but fondly remembered to a few properties that people try to revive for no discernible reason other than the hope for a nostalgia that only exists in their head."
