Made some terrain for the ships to fight over. Styrofoam balls from the hobby store stuck on bamboo skewers, a layer of plaster, then painted like gas giants. The lines on the first one were a little bit wonky, before I learned I could use a rubber band as a guide. #BFG #battlefleetgothic

We’re considering running an asymmetric game of AlphaStrike later this year. One side survives as long as they can, then we reverse the PVs, exchange deployment zones and do it the other way too. What do you think (points, pacing, etc.)? #battletech #battletechalphastrike

Heat and smoke today made working on things more difficult, but I did get this totally not Airwolf inspired Warrior VTOL done for my Hastati Sentinels force.

This month at school it was back to our based-on-the-old-Ultramarines-game game. They had to download data that came in randomly to one of six terminals each turn, and get it back to their DZ. Ended up a draw but much fun was had.😄👍

Catalyst just released a #Battletech Activity book. I'm seeing a lot of posts about it on Tumblr. The book has a ton of my lineart illustrations; much more than I'm posting here. Always, strange to see work I've completely forgot about. "Ohhhh Yeah...I did do the new Lament lineart."

35 years ago, I played Battletech at a facility in Chicago. It was absolutely incredible: Proper first-person multiplayer mech combat using high-end networked PCs and played from inside enclosed pods. Difficult to articulate just how astonishing this experience was. Years ahead of its time.
