Oh to be an allosaurus laying in the grass of the Windows background...
I finally finished a Battletech mini I've been painting sporadically due to other projects. I had an extra Zeus, so i painted it to look like the MechWarrior Dark Age mini Viktor Hannan/Zeus. This was the very first unique mini i pulled when i started playing MWDA, and i was so excited to use it.

Megaman Production Art Scan of the Day #1244: Ruby Spears Mega Man Group Sketch (From Ep. 20 Curse of the Lion Men) Was rather surprised to see new Ruby-Spears production sketches show once more. Other than sadly missing out on a Rush batch in time, I've got some new stuff, with more on the way!
Midnight Landing at Chitose Airport. Simple but effective (and quite beautiful) graphics that go some way the experience some realistic atmosphere, boosted in this enhanced version on Sharp X68000 by a sharper UI and control tower speech. 📺: The Cockpit, Compac Inc, 1988.
This is one of the early commercial flight sims in its original 1984 release, albeit one restricted to landings only. It's really atmospheric though, especially in the X68000 version with the radio chatter and the low roar of the engines and the nighttime landscape.
Which you can and hear here in this little vid. But yeah, it's a very specific experience with a handful of commercial airliners and airports to choose from.
The Interceptor is the best TIE. Doesn't mean I don't like a lot of the others, it's just the best one. This is not a discussion. I am objectively correct.

Regular Reminder: The Guardian is in a commercial relationship with OpenAI.
Well this turns out to be misleading! The LLM was used to rewrite human-written stories in commercial registers ("literary magazine", "published short story collection"). You'd have to read supplemental materials from a zip fle to know that was the methodology. www.theguardian.com/technology/2...

The SCREEN Act just failed to pass in the Senate Commerce Committee! 🎉 Enormous thanks to the thousands (!!) of you who told your Senators to vote no! Your voice matters and you should feel good that you made a difference. Obviously, the fight isn't over, but this was an important victory.
With Snowblind coming SOMEDAY, I needed to get started on figuring out my #RasalhagueDominion #TauGalaxy paint scheme. Started with a Timber Wolf, since I painted a bunch of them. Base is a broken concrete STL painted as ice with snow added. #Battletech #alphastrike #tabletop #miniatures #painting
CLARIFICATION: Earlier we made a 50 cbill offer. Uhhh, it's post Word Of Blake. We broke as fuck, and I was NOT authorised to post that.
I have a Beavis and Butthead version of this saved somewhere but I can't find it.
This is a neat segment from an old Discovery Channel feature in 1992 on one of the BattleTech Centers (Chicago) and their immersive cockpit sim pods. I think this might be one of the 'System 1' pods, their graphics in part powered by Amiga 500s. #VideoBytes
