If you walk past Celbridge Library, you might spot a beautiful sunflower blooming at our front entrance! This sunflower was planted back in April during our Spring into Storytime session with the preschoolers at our regular Wednesday morning Storytime.😎

This sunflower was planted back in April during our Spring into Storytime session with the preschoolers at our regular Wednesday morning Storytime. On the day, each child took home their own sunflower to grow, while library staff looked after one here in the branch.
We're delighted to see it now standing tall and in full bloom!
When the flower eventually goes to seed, we'll collect the seeds and add them to our Seed Library, ready to be shared and grown again next year.
From a tiny seed, to a sunflower, and back to seeds once more – a wonderful full circle from just one sunflower
