I am regularly getting "measles exposure site" alerts in my algorithms at places near me in the Portland, OR metro area. One of them was the coffee shop my husband and I work at regularly. We'd missed exposure by mere days. This is not normal!!

Unemployment feeling a lot more bearable from the Abbey coffeeshop. If I have to write and re-write resumes and cover letters all morning, at least I can do it with the sound of church bells, noon prayer, and one of the most gorgeous libraries I've ever set foot in. :)
Do I know anyone who's an oblate with a monastic order? I'm assuming every order does things slightly differently, but I'm curious about how that's looked for you in your life, especially in different stages!
Had the privilege of getting one of those once-in-a-decade life-changing homilies today, from a humble retired Monsignor who generally only goes by Father. Just really rich, full of historical context, and will forever change the way I understand the parable of the sower.

Please say an urgent prayer for an old acquaintance of mine whose husband has stopped attending Mass with her and their children in order to attend an SSPX parish by himself. I don't have many details, but the situation seems quite grave.
