But when the government starts eliminating the data we use to determine whether those policies are actually working, that deserves a hell of a lot more attention.

I never paid attention to unions until I started teaching in my 30’s. I couldn’t believe the working conditions, for a job that required a Master’s Degree. Ridiculous what the teachers’ unions had to fight for in the ‘90’s. I learned the value of a union, even after I became management. 😎
