Every year, DACS distributes money to artists, creators and their beneficiaries annually for certain reuses of their work through the Payback scheme. This could be for work that has appeared in a print or digital UK book, magazine or TV programme.

I like the idea of gearmakers in the world of LoLM having shamanistic roles and abilities while still being very pragmatic craftspersons. Less inclined towards pageantry (they leave that to their clientele), but with a clear understanding of the mysticism of masking and the Road To Glory.

Just seen a Kickstarter trying to charge 13 quid for a 50-odd page PDF?? I understand the need for higher prices on print books and shipping, but I dunno how those factors apply to digital goods. Digital goods are zero overhead so you price low to get more pledges in the door? What am I missing?

Seeing people get into histrionics about this question the same way they do about “what brush is that” and tbh the person asking is probably young and trying to learn. They’re picking up on surface level stuff and focusing on that because they’re still learning to look deeper. Be civil, be open!

Seeing artists get “what is this style called” flings me into despair… on one hand it’s a type of adaption for tag based social media, on the other hand the style is called that person’s fucking drawings!!! That style is called BEING ALIVE
