It’s now official: An initiative seeking to ban the sale and production of foie gras in D.C. will be on the November ballot. The elections board determined proponents of Initiative 86 collected enough signatures (from 5% of registered voters) to get on the ballot. 🦆

Shameless hypocrisy. Mayor Bowser won’t sign the DC Council’s budget, citing fiscal responsibility, yet shepherded the financially disastrous RFK deal just months prior. I guess funneling tax money to entertainment billionaires is more important than funding government operations.

Got some emails to and from Mayor Bowser on the RFK stadium deal. Alas, the city cites the deliberative process privilege (😡)to withhold almost all. You can see the players involved though. DC Council should really pass legislation to roll back this exemption.
