wip of an adorable comission I'm working on :) Sorry for the radio silence, I have developed hyperreactive airways (it's possible it's asthma, but needs testing to know if it's going to be the chronic deal or not). It's very chaotic to pinpoint what has been going on but I'm feeling better now!

A snippet of a bigger scene. A gold and copper hybrid baby dragon / wyrmling from dnd, with bright blue eyes and gold and verdigris scales. Hes having a little picnic in his parent's state garden, and has his toys with him, he's wearing some boxing gloves over his front paws and is beyond excited and delighted a little sparrow has landed on his nose.

Another tip, more on the practical side: buy some clay at the bazar, its cheap. BUY IT. Mess around with it, try a tiny badly done sculpture. If you're a 2d digital artist? I insist tenfold, just do it, really do it. You will thank me later, have fun. It's also a cheatcode to learning volume.

Being self-deprecating is poison. You will push away your audience, you will push away your peers, your own motivation. Being an artist is hard, so you need the right mindset, you need to be excited to do what you do, to share it, excited at the prospect of what you can improve or try next.

With Scarlet Hollow, we set out to make a game that pushes the bounds of respecting player agency. Every choice, big and small, has reverberating consequences, and characters dynamically react to who they think you are, to the point where their perceptions of you can change the entire story.

This is insanity, the price alone is something to push back, no videogame over 60 should be the norm, and I say this as both artist and dev, the fact it's been pushing towards 80 was terrible, 100 is a joke, because what they want you is for you to pay 100, or 120... or so on...
