Missouri republicans are bought and paid for and every time they actively dismantle a PASSED petition-lead amendment, they are telling us they don't give AF about their constituents. They're in it for the power and the money, and they're playing with our LIVES.
The few times I've been proud of my state have been because we passed petition-lead amendments to protect Missourians jobs (unions, tax structuring), health (abortion), VOICES (petitions, gerrymandered voting districts)... How many of these have been dismantled after being passed? MMM HMMMM
I hope this MO primary gets more national attention. We the voters voted *hard* against our republican held state legislators. There is a stark divide between what Missourians want and what our lawmakers are DOING and it has never been more clear than now.
Prop 1 was to increase funding to the police dept. It was passed by ~50 votes. It should never have been that close to begin with and it should have FAILED. What happened to all the anti-racists pledging to stand up during the protests? Vote with the that held those signs.
