i've been dragging my feet on actually writing my novel and just chipping away at the pre-writing for so long that i keep thinking "ugh just scrap it and start something new that you're actually going to write," but whenever i actually work on it i can just feel that it's going to all come together
mastodon seems to be down (or at least i can't connect to the instance i use) but my first indication of this was me trying to post deltarune discourse and getting the error message "the server rejected the post," so i thought they just had a filter to be like, absolutely no deltarune discourse

book i'm working on is not Romance (bc it has a bad ending) (although it's about ppl being obsessed with each other) but i do want to try writing romance someday because i think it perfectly suits my strengths as a writer. everything that annoys me about bad romance novels is something i'm good at

But the authors simply DO NOT KNOW that "gay panic" is what it was called when bigots killed people.
nothing is funnier to me than the way 14yo binghe considers adult men to be his romantic rivals, and he's right and he beats them
for a while i was not feeling like working on my novel BECAUSE it's so dark and i wanted to write a dumb romcom but recently while working on it i've had this feeling like... this is a lot of hard work, and will take a long time, and also i can do it and I want to do it 😌
i also just feel like this is just an instructive example of how to write a really good romance by just making the characters AS completely opposite as possible

i've been thinking about humor in my writing... i feel like, if i can be immodest for a sec, my scum villain fic is pretty funny, but my original fiction is rarely funny
