Oddities in October - "Fish in a Birdcage" Based on the song from the band named after the song of the same name. #odditiesinoctober #comic #mousethewitchingcat #originalcomic #fishinabirdcage

To the softly altered lyrics of 'Fish in a Birdcage' by Fish in a Birdcage; Mouse and Fluffy both stare longingly for something. We see both of them meeting up outside to hang out. Mouse expels a bunch of fantasies about witches and witchcraft to Fluffy which he sees as her being imaginative, while Fluffy describes the sights he's seen outside the Hollow which Mouse sees as him as worldly of him.
Mouse helped teach Fluffy how to fly with his ears while he helps her with her witchcraft interests like potion making.

Mouse stares at some of her magic at hand while Fluffy looks on blankly out in space- the both of them swept up in thoughts of self doubt. Mouse sees Fluffy as understanding of her problems which is why she likes him, while Fluffy sees Mouse as empathetic of his trauma.

As the lyrics and main chorus of the song concludes Fluffy meets Mouse on her broom as he's flying about and then they later make a brew together. They meet up as before, this time happily running to the other, before going on another flight.
They end up sleeping atop each other after a long day.

Fanart Friday - Fakemons Because I really want a starter bug type and some duel typing shenanigans. Also, a pkmn chihuahua would be cool. #pokemon #fakemon #fanartfriday

Proposed designs for pokemon ('fakemon') starters of a new gen, with each family slowly becoming a duel type of their weakest area: grass type Chihua is a chihuahua puppy based on a stinging plant which gradually becomes Cacticotl and then the grass/fire type Succubabra; Arakid is a dancing spider which becomes Pitrix and eventually the fire/water Pyrachnid; Spotlet is a small deer which eventually becomes Surfine and the Water/Grass type Branchlor.

Oddities in October - "Give it a Shot" part 1 Flo needs to get her rabies shot. #odditiesinoctober #occomic #originalcomic #mousethewitchingcat

Flo, the werewolf girl, runs away from getting her rabies shot that all werepeople need to get at her age. When she goes to Monty Cristo and his other bat friends in his roost, she's upset to find that they don't approve of her decision.

After the bats, Flo goes to hang out with the Witching Cats. She chides Mouse for using pins on a poppet, even though that is supposed to be how Witches cure themselves. Hearing that, Flo asks if it's possible to use some of the witch remedies on her instead of a syringe.

Flo gets held down for bloodletting (getting blood drawn and poured out) by the Witching Cats and prepared for frog treatment.

I really cannot think of a greater honor than to have the Muppets say this about you upon your passing

Instagram post from the official Muppets account: Few humans have earned the title of honorary Muppet more than the legendary Tim Curry. As a performer he was unparalleled - witty, charming, unnerving, and deeply funny. We will always consider it one of our greatest treasures to have been part of Long John Silver’s crew. Thank you for everything, Tim.

Seasonal Love My "Hadestown: Animated" designs of Persephone and Hades. 🏵️🧱 #hadestown #hadestownmusical #hadestownfanart

Persephone and Hades's (ala the artist's 'Hadestown: The Animated Feature''s designs) marriage through the years as represented by the seasons- Summer when they first married as some crazy kids who skipped town; Fall during a happier period where they first got their 'Railway Hounds'; Winter, the period in which the story of the musical happens, and Spring - after Orpheus's song and Hades swore to try again.

Persephone's tears are sap where Hades (true to some accounts of mythology) cries tears of iron.
