Hello #Portfolioday ✨ I'm MacLaren, a non-binary Brazilian artist who enjoys OCs, TTRPGs, and vampires! I love creating Art-Nouveau inspired pieces with lots of flowy hair and decorations! 💖

This is a digital painting depicting two female lovers surrounded by aa rococo style gold frame and pink roses.
The frame is adorned with bright crystals and a silver face right in the middle at the top. This face has bright turquoise eyes and horns that are two mirrored crescent moons.

The roses are a soft pink, with bloody red veins running from within.

The first character is a tall vampire lady with fair skin and pale blonde hair.
Shes wearind a deep and bright blood red dress paired with gold jewelry. The same turquoise can be found on her accessories as well, in for os stament gems.

She's holding the other figure by the small of her back, pushing her against her body and also pulling her gold necklace in a playful, loving way.
She also has one of the pink roses in her hand.

Now for the other OC, she has a darker complexion with a big tattoo on her back, and bright, beautiful yellow eyes that are hhalf closed looking at her lover.
She's wearing a white dress with a brown corset; her legs are showing, and she has pretty lace stockings.

She's also sporting gold jewelry and is holding her partner close.

They're both looking at each other, smiling playfully.

I always say "I wish I knew how to draw" but what it translates to is "I wish I had the energy and patience to do studies to improve my art and to slow down enough to really put effort and polish into my drawings" but man I don't want to do that. So I just wish I knew how to draw lol

I printed out the sketch again and started over, and I'm much happier with how it turned out the second time. The first one wasn't bad, but this feels more like a step in the direction I want to aim for with my traditional work. The other wasn't *wrong*, but this feels more right.

I came close to ruining this, but I brought it back from the brink with gouache and color pencils 👌 My issue was that simply rendering it felt not "enough," I wanted to experiment more and have something more abstracted, but most of that just made a mess (which was mostly fixable).
