The Warrior of Light does not dance. The time has finally come for him to talk about why.

“B’alith, did… did something happen to you, to make this such an uncomfortable topic?" G'raha finally asked. His voice was pitched low enough that B'alith had to lean in close to hear him over the music; no doubt intentionally so, to coax him into uncurling himself slightly. "You don’t have to talk about it if you'd rather not, but I know so little about what your life was like before our paths first crossed.” He laid his hand over B’alith’s more firmly, lacing their fingers together in the way he had learned would offer comfort. “If you'll let me, I want to know about the parts of your story that didn’t make it into the annals of history.”

“I do have one condition, however.” A condition he did not think it would be difficult to get B’alith to agree to, from what he remembered of the mage’s predilections. “Should you find yourself inclined to accept, I must ask that you agree to the use of a blindfold.”

B’alith swallowed hard, worrying at his lower lip the way he often did when he was thinking through a difficult problem. A pang of anxiety cut through the haze of arousal that was threatening to overwhelm the Exarch’s tight grip on his façade. The mage was clearly not in full control of his facilities. It was selfish and unfair to make such an offer when his ability to consent was dubious at best. And yet… and yet…

An agonizingly long moment seemed to stretch between them before at last, B’alith closed his eyes and leaned in close, putting his mouth dangerously near to where the Exarch’s ears were hidden under his hood, concealed by a glamour which suddenly felt woefully inadequate. “I know who you are,” he growled, that ragged desperate edge starting to creep back into his voice once more. “The Tower has blurred and changed your scent, to be sure, but its magic cannot fully erase the man beneath the cowl. We will have words about this, you and I, but for right now, for tonight… whatever passes for night in this godsforsaken place… I just need you to fuck me until I can think straight again.”
