Quick reminder: Labours parental leave bill had enough support to pass in to law in 2016 but the National Party govt used "Financial Veto" to kill it. It was described as a "shameful day for democracy"
To any older voters out there, Winston Peters, Luxon and Seymour all voted for the changes that have lead to this. A vote for any of them is simply a vote for more of this.

The senior officer who managed those files told me the scale of it was “news to me”. He remains under an employment investigation.
