Update: I still heavily dislike Secret Lair: Zeta. The more I learn about it, the more distaste and disdain I have for it. I wish it was more accessible because it is genuinely interesting from both a reprint and artistic focus. And yet, it’s coupled with continued “line goes up” decisions.

It’s actually impressive how many new ways Wizards can invent to validate the critics of Secret Lair. The news of the new Zeta drop coming in boosters is just abhorrent.

The Return to Mystical Archive SLD just announced is atrocious and an embarrassment to the product line. Like, it’s a tall bar to clear to be compared to the failure of the LOTR drop, but it very well may be the worst SLD ever released in terms of card quality and uniqueness.
