Not exactly the topic but once my parents said with my sister, she would get emotional and lash out and misbehave, then they'd punish her, and she'd would improve. But they couldn't figure me out. I would just say yes, not do things, then stoically endure the punishment (beating myself up inside)

He buries a L O T inside "big movie or game" there. Muddied vision? Meddling investors? Stuff like that is inherent to anything "big". What he "wants" is a small game. What he's describing is having a slop machine make a game for him because he's an unlikeable chud who can't work with people.

Some people seem to think it's trite or obvious, but I've always adored The Treachery of Images. It's direct, it's memorable, it gets people to think about media. It also makes great memes, haha Deconstructing perspectives and viewing things from multiple angles has been a strong theme in my life.

I've been having esketamine therapy for a couple months. The previous week was depressive hell. But when I assess my mind, now I'm reminded of organized rows of filing cabinets, where before it was random heaps that were often on fire and would suck me in. I think it untangled a knot of trauma.

Tangential, but I was reminded of when my dad brought home the game Myst, and he and I stayed up an entire weekend beating it together. In particular, we grabbed a piece of paper and mapped out the underground tram maze section to find the way through!

I do sometimes find the hand-holding tendencies of modern video games irritating but at the same time do you guys not know that we used to pay £30 for a video game and then never be able to finish it because you had to combine a red crayon with a roll of mints to create a fake cigar with no hints

Cammie is small and slippery because I'm rather large and imposing and wish I weren't. She's eager to throw herself into whimsical projects and lose herself to hyperfocus because I struggle and hesitate to do that. And she changes shape because I feel so static and stuck.

I wish I knew what to do about this. I sit there playing a game. I think about a game or project I want to start more. Then I sigh and return to the game or-more likely-go lie down and do nothing. There doesn't seem to be any emotion involved. I think it may be pathological demand avoidance.
