Warrior of Light question for all of y'all. How did your WoL feel with all the newfound attention and even downright idolization they received in the aftermath of operation Archon. From going to a normal adventurer to the Warrior of Light overnight?

As much as I poke fun at Merlwyb, I genuinely do think she's still my favorite of any of the Eorzean leaders. It genuinely does take a special person to not only transform an army of disorganized pirates into a thriving city state, but then to stand against the very people she loves so dearly -
You see if she took the helmet off, the realm would know of her unparalleled beauty and grace. Men would raise armies and march to war in contest over her skrunkly hand in marriage and the realm would suffer because of it. This is, of course, what Gu Da claims.

Small detail I love about FFXIV is they add little lore explanations to stuff that doesn't need it. Paladin WoLs are so good at gaining emnity not from their knightly training, but because of their base training as a gladiator. Mylla and some of the other Gladiator NPCs make a note that -
