I don't understand if it's worth getting the MacBook M5 Pro/Max. I still have my Apple M1 Max 10‑Core CPU, 32‑Core GPU, 16‑Core Neural Engine (whatever this means exactly) 32GB memory It costs at least 3k to reach the same performance, and 4k to be slightly above?

Oh yes GitHub, I think 40 comments are enough, feel free to just not show the other feedback I got on my PR.
I need a browser that has a similar split-screen behaviour like VS Code: 2 independent tab lists. Anything out there?

As per @steipete.me recommendation, I replaced Google with Kagi (paying $10/m) while already using Perplexity for AI-searches. Just being able to raise, lower and pin hosts is such a big quality of life upgrade.

Using Linear has been such a pleasant experience so far, so many little delightful interactions. Something that's hardly felt in most software nowadays.

From the initial idea 5 years ago of wanting mobile apps to be smarter and better aligned with our real-life, to a team of 10 full-time members, and now our very own real office in Vienna, with our ContextSDK sign on the main street of Mariahilferstraße 🪧💪

Google auto opted in *every* paying Google Workspace user to Gemini. Also adding a nice increase in price, even though no one opted into it. You cannot turn off / opt out. Except... if you open a support ticket. Only then does Google enable the setting to turn it off! I did:
Gergely clearly doesn’t understand the user story that drove this decision. Let me help! As a: Google product manager I want to: make AI mandatory everywhere within Google products Because: I am a complete piece of shit
If a new feature annoys users, makes their product usage more difficult/distracting, and cannot be turned off for paying customers: This is not "AI." It's a feature to increase customer churn - regardless of how cleverly engineered it is, how how expensive it was to build.
I remember when I first joined Twitter, I told my manager I didn't like my chair (turns out, it was a Herman Miller) I was used to the good stuff: IKEA Markus Chair & Chefsessel Regina. Been happily using this 169 EUR chair for the last 5 years now. Worth trying to switch?
