Either way I know there’s no solution anytime soon. My Patreon is in my bio. Patron me and I’ll use it to pay for the medicine the TGA says PMOS can be treated with long term, but the ALP won’t put on the PBS so average folk can afford

The Labor government’s decision not to adequately fight for PBS on GLP-1s for low income demographics is a sad and deadly indictment of their outdated assumptions about weight, and a repugnant example of moral failure in healthcare policy

I was diagnosed with polyendocrine metabolic ovarian syndrome in my early teens. PMOS significantly increases the risk of developing metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease, which I have. The TGA has approved use of Tirzepatide for PMOS. But Tirzepatide isn’t on the PBS for PMOS

"Our common law tradition assumes coastlines are stable and coastal property boundaries can be fixed," Professor Smith said. "But as the effects of climate change become more dramatic, those assumptions no longer hold" www.abc.net.au/news/2026-08...

Engineer says 50 years of erosion research being ignored

A co-author of the first NSW Coastal Protection Act says 50 years of research is being undermined by courts allowing people to protect their own properties at select locations.

Big thank you to anyone that’s bought or even shared my Wishlist being able to set up my new home the way that I want is amazing. Also thank you just for the encouragement I was terrified when I was told I had to move but everyone assured me it could be good and it’s really good

A lot of people have asked me to make a Wishlist of things I want or need for my new home ! So I did. There’s some expensive items in the list please note these are for my reference only for what I’ll be saving up for. I do not expect anyone to buy them. www.amazon.com.au/hz/wishlist/...

There’s people out there that if we suddenly had a liveable UBI, free housing healthcare, and education, they would be lost for a while not knowing their worth without capitalism. They’d have free time and would have to figure out their interests for themselves. Therapists would have so much fun.

lol at Coles suddenly sending a letter to Getup demanding they take down digital ads about Coles surveillance data partnership with Palantir because it featured footage of a Coles staff member and “breached their privacy”

I have been saying this for ages! Misinformation robs people of autonomy. When applied to women’s health it means it is inherently misogynistic!

Hear, hear‼️ Health misinformation erodes autonomy‼️ Vaccine mis- and disinformation isn’t just a threat to public health, but also to our autonomy theconversation.com/vaccine-mis-... "If we value autonomy for what it really means ... we must take action to address mis- and disinformation."

Important topic. Wasn't enough for colonisers to invade and try to wipe out Indigenous people, now non-Indigenous people and AI are stealing their art and culture and donning 'black-face'. So disgusted by that account run by a white South African. www.abc.net.au/news/2026-08...

Ugh. The lowest form of art. Worse than "street photographers" who are just creepy guys with cameras. I think the implied lack of privacy in public spaces really needs a legal revisit. Being caught in a wide shot of a building is so different to being recorded face to face as the main subject.
