Check out our new work on identification of #MOF phases and dynamics by THz Raman spectroscopy - great work by @krisgjorgjevikj.bsky.social et al. and many more follow ups to come. I am particularily fond of the non-AI grafical abstract! pubs.rsc.org/ma/article/d...

On May 17th, 21 members of the MPI-FKF from 12 different nations participated as the FKF-Nanorunners team at the 33rd Stuttgart run 🏃🏃♂️🏃♀️ In the ranking of female runners, the team reached a respectable 15th (out of 122) rank, and in the ranking of male runners, the 27th (out of 180) position! 👏👏
Shout-outs to Prof. Dr. Bettina V. Lotsch, director of the Nanochemistry department, on being elected as a member of the German National Academy of Sciences Leopoldina! 🥳🥳🥳 Link to the full article: www.fkf.mpg.de/8992608/2026... @leopoldina.org @lotschgroup.bsky.social #Leopoldina

It took a few days to go through all of the pictures and let all the emotions settle.. I recently had the incredible oportunity to join a truly fascinating event, the jubilee 75th Lindau Nobel Laureate meeting. #LindauMeeting #LINO75 #WomenInSTEM
Thrilled we could contribute to this work with some Raman analysis by @krisgjorgjevikj.bsky.social (although there is not much to see in the THz regions...). Congrats to Robert and Lucas!
Our new Hot Paper 🔥 is out in @angewandtechemie.bsky.social: co-first authors Lucas G. Balzat and Robert Calaminus use #BayesianOptimization to boost Li7SiPS8 ionic conductivity while lowering synthesis temperature and time. #SolidElectrolytes doi.org/10.1002/anie...
Revisiting our old friend MIL-88A(Fe) in our most recent preprint @chemrxiv.bsky.social. Nice collaboration with researchers @uniulm.bsky.social, @mpifkf.bsky.social and @uni-jena.de.Proud of the team and in particular Timo for our first sole paper! chemrxiv.org/engage/chemr...
Elucidating the structure and the impact of synthesis methods on the flexibility of MIL 88 A (Fe) during water capture
Flexible metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) have emerged as a new generation of porous materials and are considered for various applications such as sensing, water or gas capture, and water purification....
