Amnesty International put out a major report documenting the influence of UK based anti trans gender critical organizations and their funding. Within hours, GC groups threatened defamation lawsuits and Amnesty was forced to pull it down. Proving the point they're anti rights. Anyways, here it is.
This is primarily thanks to Article 127 of the Civil Code, introduced in 2021, which stipulates that virtual property as a legitimate form of inheritance. It doesn't stop game companies from shutting games down ofc, but yes, China is quite advanced when it comes to Gamer Rights™️ (lol)
Chinese courts have consistently ruled that digital purchases are assets that belong to you, and can be inherited. And that any EULA the companies make you agree to can't override this. In stark contrast to here where we keep finding out companies can take away your digital goods on a whim.
