Why did Ukrainians recognize Russia’s war as an existential threat long before much of the world? Since Moscow’s 2014 invasion, I’ve traveled Ukraine asking this question. 10 yrs in the making, my new book When the Ukrainian Sun Rises is now open for pre-order with Georgetown University Press.
