What is going on at TIFF this year? The level of disorganization is maddening. Movies starting late and still not seating ticket holders before the start. Line cutting is rampant. Phones OUT in nearly every screening. And if you have a question? Keep asking. No one has the same answer

I don’t fault certain studios/movies for skipping festivals but I wish they weren’t all releasing those films in such a way to require me to cram their regular screenings into packed festival screening schedules. Has anyone ever considered releasing a movie in November?

I tried to call a helpline to find out if I can do early check-in where I’m staying in Toronto. They gave me an AI bot to talk to, who put me on hold for 10 minutes saying that I was the number one person in line. No one picked up. So. I ask again.

I was at a Dunkin, and a woman there had perched her laptop on top of the mini fridge where they keep the bottle drinks. she was performing in front of it what appeared to be for a live stream. She was making weird sounds and doing TikTok dance dances.
