testing the Gumby dressup floppy disk @lgr-yt.bsky.social recently dumped on ScummVM Wii (which theoretically supports anything using Macromedia Director) it works well despite the slowdown on the logo screens, certainly far better than any Adventure Game Studio title on weaker hardware.

Zero Racers has a "SLEEP" option in Grand Prix mode that displays this Earthbound-esque message. (there also seems to be text for a Sound Test in the ROM, though i haven't confirmed if it's accessible normally or not.)

Kamaitachi no Yoru is simply one of the most important Japanese games in history, period. In the historical trajectory of novel games, if Otogirisou, Chunsoft's previous gane, is Pac-Land, this is Super Mario Brothers. It is that foundational in the storytelling and design paradigms it codified.

the 3DO booth at the Winter 1995 CES featured a (untranslated) demo for Konami's Policenauts. containing a sound test and a target practice mini-game this is peculiar, as while a localization was briefly considered. it was solely being planned for the SEGA Saturn. #E3Collections

this incredibly obscure PC physical release of Yooka-Laylee & The Impossible Lair was exclusive to Poland of all places. unlike the original game, which had a limited set of copies made by @playtonicgames.com as Kickstarter rewards. the retail console versions of both titles had no such limitations
