(TW sexual assault) I wrote an essay about a friend stopping a guy from sexually assaulting me when I was passed out drunk called “Lucky.” When stories like the Cornell 7 surface I think about how different my life would be had my friend not intervened.

Between the PRs of (largely likely stolen) math breakthroughs, claims of "rogue AI" (actually cybercrimes by companies, but whatevs), and doomerist "whistleblowers", it feels like we've been subjected to a gish gallop of hype recently. >>

Trump is constantly talking about how under threat he is from antifa or whatever, and meanwhile he's just letting some weird lady sleep in a crawl space directly above his head and then spend her days trying to clone him from scraps of his diarrhea.

During my lunch hour I stopped by to watch a Courtney Barnett soundcheck, picked up some peaches at the Farmer's Market, and watched some jugglers practicing in the Park Blocks. Good vibes abound! Three cheers for downtown Portland! #Portland

Check out this appreciation of the Fire and the Portland fans. I am so excited to support this team and be a part of the electric atmosphere!🔥🔥🔥

This week, the Minnesota Lynx tipped off their first game in Portland in 24 years. @terryhorstman.bsky.social was there to witness it, and shares why — from the city, the fans, the Fire Pit and more — having the WNBA back in Portland is absolutely a home run ⤵️ hittingthehardwood.com/horstman-wnb...

I have an internal T Swift-o-meter that swings back and forth between she’s great and booooo. The Adam Sandler officiating her wedding is going to get me stuck on booo for the foreseeable future👎
