Said this about a potential Alito replacement a few weeks ago, and it's true about Blanche now. Unless Collins actually sinks the nomination, she gets no credit for taking a politically convenient but ultimately meaningless "no" vote during an election year.

BREAKING: Susan Collins cited our report on Blanche's promise on a private call with religious activists to restrict abortion pills in announcing today she will not vote to confirm him. www.newscentermaine.com/article/news...

"Debates over World War II became popular at Heritage, with a lot of “rehashing and going through who was the bad guy and who were the good guys,”" Also, sounds like a lot of anti-Semitism at the Heritage Foundation. Maybe Trump's task force on anti-Semitism could look into this!

Hale told me that he was willing to debate policy; what he wasn’t willing to do was “sit here and discuss whether the Holocaust happened or not.” Discussions among new hires frequently echoed arguments promoted by Fuentes, Carlson and the podcaster Candace Owens that shed doubt on the historical consensus around the Holocaust or the origin of the state of Israel. Hale described a conversation with one new hire who claimed that the publishing tycoon Robert Maxwell — the father of Ghislaine Maxwell, Jeffrey Epstein’s longtime partner and enabler, and a Czechoslovakian Jew by birth — had paid for the rights to all the history textbooks used in public schools in the United States, and that everything in them about the Holocaust was a lie.

He died at Irwin, the detention center made notorious by allegations of unwanted gynecological procedures, and that Biden had shut down. Trump reopened it. Now it’s the site of yet another death in ICE detention following claims of medical neglect.

ICE has killed another person, this time by depriving him of life-sustaining medication for a known medical condition. Jesus Manuel Arenas-Silva was detained on Thursday. He was dead by Monday. Per @detentionwatchnetwork.org:

What’s next for Vingegaard? He’s got the grand tour treble, does he want to keep trying to knock down the Pogi-shaped wall at the Tour every year for the rest of his career? Maybe put on 15 pounds and try to turn himself into a Classics rider?

It also shouldn't be lost in all this that while sexual abusers span the political spectrum, only one Party even attempts, however imperfectly, to discipline the ones nominally in their camp. And that's the Democrats.

Everything else very much not aside, but a person who truly held Graham Platner's claimed ideological commitments would not go out like this. Defeating Susan Collins and retaking the Senate HAS to supersede any personal ambition or grievance

"We engaged in electoral politics. We motivated people. We banded together. We did it the way that we were told we are supposed to make change, and we won, and now they are not going to let us have it," Platner says.

Tour de France posting: Tadej always had the punch to win a stage like this if he wanted it, the climb at the end was short and suited his power well. Big story is that Jonas held off Seixas, Remco, and others. Tadej the favorite, but the Tour still to be decided on the big summit finishes
