Unfortunately the majority of people in the US don't believe that children have any rights at all.
'Why are teenagers so depressed and oppositional? Must be social media!" no, it's because you treat them like property, deprive them of fundamental human rights, and remove all the spaces they might be able to go to escape from your bullshit for a couple hours!
