Not me forgetting to put the shredded cheddar and tortilla chips on my chicken, black bean, and rice bowl after microwaving it, then proceeding to eat the chips and cheese anyway like they were off-brand lunchables nachos Living the dream, y'all

Mays found a bag to sit on AND a sunbeam - what a lucky girl!
My brain: wow, you have not accomplished ANYTHING today, what a slug, what an absolute potato (I started two more fruit shrubs, did some garden work, cleaned the bathroom, wrapped Scott's bday gifts, and did 2.5 hours of actual work-work, even though I'm on PTO today) Brains are fuckin' THE WORST
Y'all will never guess what's in today's garden haul... Just kidding, it's MORE TOMATOES The green one was an oops cut (shared a stem with the big pink one next to it, and I cut too high). If it doesn't start to turn pink in a day or two, I'll just be forced to make fried green tomatoes (oh no! 😏)
Made a ratatouille pasta bake using a bunch of veggies from the garden (and also from the store), and it was yummy
Garden haul: LOTS of tomatoes, plus zucchini, basil, and oregano!
It is a comfort food kind of day, so I ordered a mountain of fried rice and crab rangoon 👍👍
Ok so this lady says solar panels are getting built on "the most productive farmland" in her area. Which just ain't true at all. It ain't true here in NC either. Where I ALSO hear that talking point over & over again. Smells like astroturf! So let's get the dirt on solar farms & dirt ✨
I genuinely don't know what to do about this. In our diseased information environment, one MAGA-adjacent "influencer" can do more to shape public opinion than mountains of studies or facts. Where are the pro-clean-energy influencers to counter this shit?
Garden haul: look at this amazing, wonky Pink Brandywine tomato! Also, of course more cherry tomatoes 😁
Morning garden haul: the first of the Pink Brandywine tomatoes! Also more cherry & San Marzano tomatoes and tiny Thai chilis
@tashasev.bsky.social look! I made a blueberry & lemon thyme shrub! I mixed it with lime LaCroix, and it's DELICIOUS!
Have I ever mentioned how much I hate writing performance evaluations? Because this year we have SO MANY new forms and guidelines to review, and 😩🫠💀
POV: you're the lab manager, but you're also an artist, so when the A&P labs come to you with a broken skeleton model, you take it as a design challenge...
The biggest of ughs: I have been taking Mondays off for most of the summer too use PTO, but I actually have to go to work tomorrow (taking Friday off this week instead, for personal reasons), and I DO NOT WANNA
The final result: spinach basil garlic fettuccini with grilled chicken & puttanesca sauce (cherry tomatoes, capers, kalamata olives, garlic, red pepper flakes, olive oil, fresh basil & oregano), topped with shaved Parmesan
Finally time to use all these cherry tomatoes... Making linguini puttanesca 🤤
I'm about to have some friends over to do a little drawing workshop, just for funsies. Do I have any formal training in this? Not since middle school! Do I know how to teach this? Absolutely not - I am fully winging it! Wish me luck 🤞😅🤞
Ran out of Make Some Noise and Game Changer episodes to watch, so we started Smartpants Immediately pleased to see that January birthdays are the best
Had to give Max a stern to talking-to about the dangers of bolting out the back door when he is very much an INDOOR CAT 😒
Garden haul: Tomatoes!! The first two San Marzanos, plus MOAR cherry tomatoes 😍😍😍
It's dinner time and nice weather and people are out on their decks enjoying it So OF COURSE my neighbor brought out his electric leaf blower to blow off his deck for like 20 min MY DUDE HAVE YOU HEARD OF A BROOM
Garden haul: yellow squash, Marconi pepper, more cherry tomatoes Also I think the first San Marzano tomatoes might be ready tomorrow!

It's been a while since I've posted art, but here goes Tom Morello: Tribute - Like A Stone 14x17" matte graphite on paper (ref photo mine)
Today's garden haul: lacinato kale, rosemary, Genovese basil, Greek oregano
