It really is as simple as replying to the tray picture with the letter and "ME" and being the first person to do so. A while later either myself or @beckymew.bsky.social will link you a purchase link to the shop in reply. We ship for free over fifty dollars in the United States.

Managing & reducing that "fawn," "please & appease" response is one of the most consistently challenging trauma recovery tasks, for one reason: our culture LOVES when we fawn, & actively penalizes us when we set boundaries. It's not just "in our head." It's layered in the world.

Executive dysfunction, especially difficultly making decisions & getting or staying motivated, is common w/ CPTSD survivors. It has nothing to do w/ "willpower"-- it has everything to do w/ the fact that our nervous system is highly vulnerable to hijacking & dissociation.

But anyway here's to Anne McCaffrey and Judith Tarr and Tanya Huff and Kate Elliott and oh no I'm going to forget people but there were women there on the shelves when I was a weird and struggling teenage girl and your books and presence kept me going.

Discovered that my little sister had managed to live in the moment enough to not remember the anniversary of mom's passing until I accidentally reminded her by mentioning this week's challenges, so now I feel like an ass and am going back to bed.

THIS THIS THIS. So many people tell me "I don't know if I really NEED a cane..." and friends, as a Certified Disabled Person (tm), I am begging you, if you think there's ANY way it might help you even a LITTLE, try it! If it helps, keep using it! You don't even have to use it all the time!

Side note: If a walking stick or cane seems like a fun accessory, I (as a disabled person who has had to use a cane from time to time) heartily encourage you to use one! And if it at all makes your life easier, I encourage you EVEN HARDER TO KEEP USING IT.

here's a one-page comic that tries to give you a glimpse of what's all about. kinda fails tho. the comic goes so much more than that...

A comic where Hope Blackwell try really hard to make AGAHF look like a normal comic, and fails miserably.

Thank you all for putting up with me this week and apologies if I have been weirder or denser than usual. Handling the anniversary of my mom's passing and this year's job/family health/famil mental health crises has me a little off my social kilter. Much love.
