I am still reading "Project Hail Mary". I am hoping to be finished this weekend, probably Saturday. I am loving the book, it's just I am in a weird mood lately and cannot concentrate to read a lot. So I am taking it as it comes.
I am watching anime duing the work week as they are shorter and leave me more time for other stuff in the evening; and watch hour-long episodes and movies during the weekend when I have a bit more time.
I am also currently watching Dan Dan Dan which is absolutely bonkers. On Saturdays I watch the new episode of Drag Race US. On Sundays I watch the new episode of Monarch: legacy of Monsters.

I started reading the second book in the Hierarchy series, "The Strength of the Few" by James Islington, at the end of December. I finished it on the 4th of January. This is a solid read, especially for a second book in a trilogy. It picks up right after the events of the first book; if you have not read the first book, there will be limited spoilers (nothing major). We follow Vis Telimus in 3 different worlds; Res, the world where Vis comes from; Obiteum, which is where Vis is rescued by Caeror, Ulciscor's brother; and Luceum, where Vis is rescued by a druid, and lives without knowing anything of what is happening.

Happy New Year 2026 everyone. I hope this new year will bring people love, joy and happiness. Except for books, I also love watching every medium available, from series to films (a big shout to "K-Pop Demon Hunters") to anime. For the past month I have been watching Bastard!! a shonen anime series with 2 seasons, with Season 1 having 24 episodes and Season 2 having 15 episodes. The story is not complete, but sources say that Season 3 is in development hell, so we will see if it ever comes out, or if I will have to seek out the manga series to read and see what happens in the end (if the manga is complete!).

@dr-bethany-jacobs.bsky.social Thank you. I finished "The Kindom trilogy" today. This was a really great ending, a realistic one. And I am glad it shows that, even after a just revolution, rebuilding, and reconstructing, and dealing with the aftermath will be a long haul. Highly recommended books.
