Speaking as an outide observer, America looks hugely right-wing. The Overton window there is firmly down the Right end of the spectrum. Even providing healthcare, and paid holidays to it's own people is seen as some sort of "commie" plot.
Weird ad hominems are not impressive. If you can't do it, you can't do it.
Defined by whom? You're treating politics like Platonic forms. If the 'ground betwixt' has an eternal, proper dogma beyond "we're smart because we're in the middle," name its specific tenets.
